As a market's enthusiast, I noticed there were no options online to receive stock alerts based off a specific percentage down. Some sites had email and in-app alerts but only at fixed percentages (5%, 10%, etc). I leveraged Zapier’s Google Sheets integration to trigger automated email alerts when a stock price lowered by a certain percentage. I used Google Finance's data to display the previous day's stock price and create an alerting price. For some stocks that I believed to be fairly or undervalued, I set the alert at -3%. For stocks that I am interested in purchasing, but believed to be overvalued, I set the percentage alert between -7% and -10%.
